How I Got Started In Real Estate

For over a decade, I’ve had a strong interest in real estate, but with six kids and a wife at home, I needed to focus on what I knew best: marketing and entrepreneurship. Throughout the years, I built and launched several businesses, including Agency511 Marketing & Advertising, which I still own and operate today. As that agency grew and stabilized, my family and I began planning a move to rural Minnesota. During the process of buying and selling our home, we hit a few unexpected bumps in the road. That experience opened my eyes to the real estate world in a new way, and I felt compelled to dig deeper.

After spending hours watching videos and researching the industry, I decided to go straight to the source and enrolled in real estate courses through Kaplan University. When I shared this with Berni, my Real Estate Agent, she was not only encouraging, she immediately welcomed me to her team. That moment was a gift, and it confirmed I was headed in the right direction. Today, I’m having a blast learning the business from the inside out, and the community has been a blessing, as there has been a quick response to hire me as their real estate agent. With 500+ Agents in Central MN, I am always humbled knowing when they choose me. It is an honor to serve the community now in this capacity.
